For Exemplary Sponsorship and Advocacy of an Emerging Leader

Emerging leaders have grit and aspiration, but often they arrive at their leadership destination with the support and guidance of executive sponsors. The men and women who step up into this role are not seeking praise nor recognition. Instead, they seek to ensure the next generation of leaders are prepared to take on organizational challenges of the future with effectiveness. Executive sponsors play a vital role in mentoring, coaching, positioning and advocating so that emerging leaders are not only equipped but that they are also visible to decision makers and other executives thereby ensuring their success. Recipients of the Executive Sponsor Award meet the following criteria:

Make an impact in their organization as an executive leader
Have directly or indirectly served as a sponsor of an emerging leader
Successfully helped an emerging leader obtain a promotion
Demonstrate traits of sponsorship including advocacy, positioning, mentoring and/coaching
